During the 2018 admission process, a total of 286 international students were admitted to Bukhara State University. Of these, 270 students began their studies in the full-time bachelor’s education format, 15 students in the part-time education format, and 1 student in the special part-time education format. Including upper-year students, the total number of international students studying at the university is 318, the majority of whom are from the neighboring country of Turkmenistan. In addition, 1 citizen of the Russian Federation is currently studying at the university.
All international students have been accommodated in the student dormitory of Bukhara State University, where all necessary conditions have been provided for them. The student dormitory has a kitchen, computer rooms, and all the necessary facilities for sports activities.
In order to further increase the number of international students in the coming years, Bukhara State University has developed a marketing strategy aimed at attracting international students as well as foreign professors and teachers.
The amount of contract payment for international students differs from that of local students and also varies depending on the field of study. Payment is made in the national currency (UZS). As an exception, for the convenience of international students, the university has a foreign currency bank account through which students may pay their tuition fees in foreign currency (USD — US dollars).
The safety of international students is ensured: upon arrival, they are accommodated in the student dormitory of Bukhara State University and are registered in accordance with the established procedure.
